Some Manchester United fans were delighted with the showing of striker Odion Ighalo, who scored a brace in the club’s 3-0 FA Cup win over Derby County in the fifth round.
Ighalo made only his second start in the United shirt on Thursday night and he managed to impress with a goal in either half as the club registered a comfortable victory at Pride Park.
The Nigerian only joined on a short-term loan from Shanghai Shenhua in January but he has made a quick impression by scoring three goals in his two starts for the club.
Here are some of the best reactions on Twitter after Ighalo’s brace.
Ighalo been superb with his touch. Hasn’t been involved much but when he’s had the ball he’s made it stick and linked with others

Superb from Shaw and great strength from Ighalo to finish it off. Living the dream

Nobody else in our team scores that ighalo chance, the movement, the reactions and the strength is natural and cannot be taught.

United don’t have the option to sign Ighalo permanently in the summer but manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has previously stated that the striker could be rewarded with a long-term deal, if he is able to perform admirably.
So far, the former Watford man has excelled with the opportunities in the Cup competitions and it certainly appears that he could prove a useful option in the squad for next season and beyond.
United will be in Premier League action against arch-rivals Manchester City on Sunday and it remains to be seen whether Ighalo will be handed a starting role for the derby.
Suppose Ighalo starts, Solskjaer has the option of playing Anthony Martial in either the left wing or alongside the 30-year-old upfront in a two-striker partnership.
