Crystal Palace star Daniel Munoz hands open invitation to Man Utd to sign him in January

Manchester United have had a good start to the Premier League campaign and have picked up 18 points from their opening 11 matches.

The Red Devils are presently one point behind the Champions League places and could break into the top four with another winning run.

The club primarily focused on attacking reinforcements last summer, but the onus could be on strengthening the defence and midfield next year.

In an interview with AS, Crystal Palace right wing-back Daniel Munoz has now opened the door for a move by describing United as a dream club to play for.

He said: “If you ask me, it would be a dream to play for one of these clubs, whether it’s Barcelona, PSG, Real Madrid, or Manchester United.

“I think I’m working towards that. I strive every day to one day attract the attention of one of these clubs, because for me, it’s a dream to get there.”

The talented Colombian added that there is no concrete interest from any club, but refused to rule out a potential move away from the Eagles this winter.

He added: “If you ask me, I don’t have concrete information that any of these clubs are interested in me. My focus is on Crystal Palace. We’ll see when the winter transfer window gets closer.”

Man Utd handed an open invitation to land Munoz

The Colombia international has established himself as one of the best defenders in the Premier League.

He has primarily played from the right wing-back position for the Eagles and has impressed with his defensive and attacking contributions.

The 29-year-old has registered two goals and two assists from 19 outings this campaign. He has also been defensively sound for his club.

The former Genk man has won 5.7 duels per game this season. He has also made 3.7 recoveries, 3.3 clearances and 2.6 tackles on average.

Munoz has likewise excelled with his high pressing and exemplary work rate. It appears a no-brainer decision for United to pursue a deal.

The right wing-back has a Transfermarkt value of £22 million. Palace could be enticed to do business in January if they receive around £30-35m.

Munoz is in the prime of his career, and he would be a permanent figure at right wing-back for the next few years at United if he were to join.

Manager Ruben Amorim has primarily used Diogo Dalot and Amad Diallo in the position.

While Dalot has caught the eye with his defensive involvements, Amad has been impressive with his overlapping runs and goal contributions.

Munoz would provide the right balance between attack and defence from the role.
