Cristiano Ronaldo picks three players he admires at Man Utd

In an exclusive interview with Piers Morgan, Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo has picked three players he admirers at the club.

The Portuguese showed disrespect towards manager Erik ten Hag and the club’s owners recently and there are claims that his contract could be terminated soon.

In the same interview, the 37-year-old also spoke about professionalism of current youngsters and said that they don’t have the same hunger and mentality.

He added that Diogo Dalot, Lisandro Martinez and Casemiro are three players he admires at the club for their professionalism on and off the playing field.

He told Piers Morgan Uncensored: “Diogo Dalot is young but very professional. I have no doubt that he’s going to have longevity in football. A few others like him, probably [Lisandro] Martinez, Casemiro is in his thirties.”

Man Utd trio have been setting examples this season

Dalot was a squad player at the start of last season, but managed to jump ahead of Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the pecking order during the second half of the campaign.

Ten Hag has stuck with him in the right-back role and we have seen a drastic improvement from the Portuguese. He is now producing a consistent run of performances.

Goal recently described him as an undroppable player and it is certainly the case. He has started 20 of United’s 21 games this term – one missed due to suspension .

Meanwhile, Martinez has also been a revelation under Ten Hag. The Argentine came with a big reputation from Ajax and has adapted quickly to the Premier League.

He has been superb with his concentration and ability to win duels in the box. He should definitely be one of the contenders to win the club’s Player of the Year alongside Dalot.

Casemiro’s qualities are well known from his time at Real Madrid. He had a difficult start to his United career with cameo roles, but has been a regular starter since October.

The Brazilian has excelled with his tackling and ball recoveries. He still needs to improve on his ball control, but has provided more assurance in front of the defence.
