Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has made three changes to the starting line-up for today’s Premier League clash against Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils have had a mixed start to the campaign with a victory and a defeat. They had some good fortune in the 1-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers, but struggled against Tottenham Hotspur on the road.
United should have had a penalty in the opening half at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but the second half display was below-par as they conceded two goals without reply. Ten Hag will want a strong response.
For today’s game, Ten Hag has opted to make three changes and two of them have been enforced, considering Luke Shaw and Mason Mount are sidelined with muscular injuries. The former could be out for months.
Diogo Dalot has replaced the injured Shaw in the left-back role while Christian Eriksen has been chosen by Ten Hag for the number eight role in Mount’s absence. Aside from the duo, there is one more change in attack.
Alejandro Garnacho has dropped to the bench for the return of Anthony Martial to the line-up. Marcus Rashford looks likely to play in his preferred left-wing position with Martial leading the line for the first time this season.
Here is United’s confirmed starting line-up:
Onana; Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Martinez, Dalot; Casemiro, Eriksen; Antony, Fernandes, Rashford; Martial.
