Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has made two changes to the starting line-up for today’s Premier League clash against Fulham at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils have won four league games on the bounce and they have an excellent chance to extend the streak against an out-of-form Fulham outfit.
Ahead of the game, Ten Hag has opted for two changes which are both enforced by injuries.
Victor Lindelof comes in for Luke Shaw, who picked up a hamstring injury before half-time at Luton Town. The Englishman is sidelined for a few months.
Elsewhere, Omari Forson makes his maiden start and full Premier League debut for the club following an untimely injury setback for Rasmus Hojlund.
Hojlund picked up a muscle injury during the victory over the Hatters and the Dane has been ruled out of action for the next two to three weeks, as per United.
Confirmed Man Utd line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Fulham: Onana; Dalot, Varane, Maguire, Lindelof; Casemiro, Mainoo; Garnacho, Fernandes, Rashford; Forson.
United start the day with a five-point gap behind fourth-placed Aston Villa. They can go within two points off the Villans with a victory if Unai Emery’s side lose to Nottingham Forest.
Hence, it is a huge game for the Red Devils in the Champions League hunt. A negative result could see them drop seven or eight points behind if the Villans end up beating Forest.
It appears a must-win fixture on paper and Ten Hag will want the rest of the attack to step up to fill the void left by Hojlund, who has netted in each of his last six league outings.
