Confirmed Man Utd line-up vs Burnley, Mejbri starts

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has made three changes to the starting line-up for tonight’s Premier League clash against Burnley.

The Red Devils have suffered three straight losses in all competitions and they will be aiming to make amends against the Clarets at Turf Moor.

Ahead of the game, Ten Hag has opted for three changes to the XI from the 4-3 defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League group stage.

In defence, there is a surprise start for Jonny Evans following an injury for Lisandro Martinez.

Both Martinez and Harry Maguire have not made the matchday squad while Raphael Varane is only on the bench, having just returned to training.

Elsewhere, the Dutch tactician has brought in Hannibal Mejbri and Scott McTominay into the midfield to provide defensive cover alongside Casemiro.

Christian Eriksen and Facundo Pellistri have dropped to the bench where they are joined by Sofyan Amrabat, who could make his United debut tonight.

There are no other changes. Ten Hag could be playing a midfield diamond formation.

Confirmed Man Utd line-up (4-4-2): Andre Onana; Diogo Dalot, Victor Lindelof, Jonny Evans, Sergio Reguilon; Casemiro, Hannibal Mejbri, Scott McTominay, Bruno Fernandes; Marcus Rashford, Rasmus Hojlund.

United are currently seven points adrift of the Champions League places, but they have the opportunity to close the gap with a victory over the Clarets.

The Red Devils have a tremendous record at Turf Moor with five wins in the last six games. Anything less than a victory tonight would be a bad result.
