Manchester United are back in action this afternoon as we host Sheffield United at Old Trafford.
Kickoff is set for 18:00 GMT, with us having had five days’ rest since our 1-1 draw at Tottenham Hotspur and the Blades just three days removed from their 3-0 hammering away to Newcastle United.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is without only Phil Jones and Axel Tuanzebe through injury, though has Saturday’s FA Cup trip to Norwich City to bear in mind.
We drew 3-3 at Bramall Lane back in November whilst we start today’s game two points above our opponents. Chelsea are five points above us in the final Champions League place, and Leicester City nine ahead having played a game more.
The two lineups for today’s game are confirmed as:
Manchester United
David de Gea; Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw; Nemanja Matic, Paul Pogba, Bruno Fernandes; Mason Greenwood, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial
Substitutes: Sergio Romero, Eric Bailly, Brandon Williams, Andreas Pereira, Fred, Scott McTominay, Daniel James, Juan Mata, Odion Ighalo
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sticks with the same back four and David de Gea as he did versus Spurs on Friday night, as we expected in yesterday’s preview. Likewise, Paul Pogba starts, as we expected following his influential cameo performance in North London last time out.
Scott McTominay and Fred are the two players dropped from our first match back, whilst Mason Greenwood is also in the starting lineup. The teenager will likely play down the right of the front three, with Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial rotating between striker and left flank.
Sheffield United
Simon Moore; Chris Basham, Phil Jagielka, Jack Robinson; George Baldock, John Lundstram, Oliver Norwood, John Fleck, Enda Stevens; Lys Mousset, David McGoldrick
Substitutes: Michael Verrips, Luke Freeman, Kieron Freeman, Jack Rodwell, Ben Osborn, Richairo Zivkovic, Sander Berge, Oli McBurnie, Billy Sharp
Simon Moore is between the posts for the first time this season as Dean Henderson is unable to face the club he is on loan from. The experienced Phil Jagielka comes into Sheffield United’s defence to replace the suspended John Egan. This will only be the 37-year-old’s second Premier League start of the season, alongside Jack Robinson, making his third.
Chris Wilder looks set to play a 3-5-2 with wingbacks. George Baldock has been influential down the right-hand side for them this season whilst the central midfield trio have all been fairly consistent.
