Confirmed Lineups: Man Utd vs PSG

Manchester United are looking to overturn a 0-2 deficit from the first leg of our Champions League second round tie when we take on Paris Saint-Germain in the French capital this evening.

The Parisians handed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer his only defeat to date as Manchester United manager at Old Trafford three weeks ago.

We have 10 absentees for this evening’s game as the caretaker boss switches to a back five and names four youngsters among the substitutes.

The two teams are confirmed as:

Manchester United

David de Gea; Ashley Young, Eric Bailly, Chris Smalling, Victor Lindelof, Luke Shaw; Scott McTominay, Fred, Andreas Pereira; Marcus Rashford, Romelu Lukaku

Substitutes: Sergio Romero, Diogo Dalot, Marcos Rojo, James Garner, Angel Gomes, Tahith Chong, Mason Greenwood

Eric Bailly returns to the starting lineup to partner both Chris Smalling and Victor Lindelof in a back three, with Ashley Young and Luke Shaw playing wingback roles.

We’re playing with a central midfield three with Marcus Rashford and Romelu Lukaku up front. There are no natural wide players in the starting XI whilst Marcos Rojo is the only outfield player on the bench that isn’t a teenager. This includes 17-year-old midfielder James Garner.

Paris Saint-Germain

Gianluigi Buffon; Thilo Kherer, Thiago Silva, Presnel Kimpembe, Juan Bernat; Marquinhos; Marco Verratti; Dani Alves, Julian Draxler, Angel Di Maria; Kylian Mbappe,

Substitutes: Alphonse Areola, Thomas Meunier, Colin Dagba, Layvin Kurzawa, Leandro Paredes, Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting, Edinson Cavani

Paris Saint-Germain go with the same starting XI as they did at Old Trafford which includes Dani Alves down the right wing, former United player Angel Di Maria down the left, and Kylian Mbappe up front.

Thomas Tuchel is able to welcome back Cavani and Thomas Meunier after both were absent for the first leg. PSG hold a 2-0 lead from Old Trafford last month.
