Manchester United kick off our 2019-20 Premier League campaign at home to Chelsea this afternoon.
Frank Lampard will be in charge of the visitors for the first time after being appointed as Blues manager from Derby County over the summer.
The two teams are confirmed as:
Manchester United
David de Gea; Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw; Scott McTominay, Andreas Pereira, Paul Pogba; Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial
Substitutes: Sergio Romero, Axel Tuanzebe, Ashley Young, Nemanja Matic, Daniel James, Juan Mata, Mason Greenwood
Summer signings Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Harry Maguire are handed their Manchester United debuts whilst Daniel James is among the substitutes. The Wales international is joined by teenager Mason Greenwood.
Nemanja Matic is only on the bench as Scott McTominay and Andreas Pereira join Paul Pogba in our central midfield three. Axel Tuanzebe returns from a fine season with Aston Villa in the Championship to take his place on the bench too.
Chelsea
Kepa Arrizabalaga; Cesar Azpilicueta, Andreas Christensen, Kurt Zouma, Emerson Palmeiri; Mateo Kovacic, Jorginho, Mason Mount; Ross Barkley, Tammy Abraham, Pedro
Substitutes: Willy Caballero, Fikayo Tomori, Marcos Alonso, N’Golo Kante, Christian Pulisic, Kenedy, Olivier Giroud
It’s an interesting lineup named by Frank Lampard who starts Jorginho and Tammy Abraham, whilst N’Golo Kante and Olivier Giroud are only among the substitutes.
Summer signing Christian Pulisic is only on the bench, whilst Mason Mount starts in a midfield three.
