Confirmed Lineups: Man Utd vs Brighton

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seeks his sixth Premier League win in six and seven in all competitions as Manchester United caretaker manager when we host Brighton & Hove Albion this afternoon.

With Arsenal hosting Chelsea this evening three points for us today would see us either close the gap on the top four or move into sole fifth position.

Brighton & Hove Albion are down in 13th position and have picked up just one point from their last two matches.

The two teams for today’s game at Old Trafford are confirmed as:

Manchester United

David de Gea; Ashley Young, Phil Jones, Victor Lindelof, Lke Shaw; Nemanja Matic, Ander Herrera, Paul Pogba; Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial

Substitutes: Sergio Romero, Eric Bailly, Diogo Dalot, Andreas Pereira, Juan Mata, Alexis Sanchez, Romelu Lukaku

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer names an unchanged starting XI to the one which won 1-0 at Wembley Stadium against Tottenham Hotspur last Sunday. Eric Bailly returns from suspension to take his place among the substitutes as Phil Jones and Victor Lindelof continue to be the centre-back partnership.

Alexis Sanchez is back from injury to take his place up on the bench too as Anthony Martial keeps his place in the starting lineup down the left wing, supporting striker Marcus Rashford. Jesse Lingard is the third man in attack for us today with Juan Mata among the substitutes.

Brighton & Hove Albion

David Button; Martin Montoya, Shane Duffy, Lewis Dunk, Gaeten Bong; Solly March, Dale Stephens, Davy Propper, Jurgan Locadia; Pascal Gross; Glenn Murray

Substitutes: Jason Steele, Bruno, Leon Balogun, Beram Kayal, Anthony Knockaert, Florin Andone, Viktor Gyokeres

Chris Hughton goes with the identical 4-4-1-1 formation that we predicted yesterday with Gaeten Bong retaining his role at left-back with Bernardo injured, Jurgen Locadia playing out on the left wing with Glenn Murray up front.

Young forward Viktor Gyokeres has been named on the bench by the visitors as Brighton & Hove Albion do have a few absentees.
