Confirmed lineups: Juventus vs Man Utd

Manchester United are in Italy this evening to take on Juventus in game four of this season’s Champions League.

The Serie A champions would win the group with a victory this evening whilst we start this evening’s games in second place – two points ahead of Valencia, who are currently in action against Young Boys.

Paul Pogba makes a return to his old stomping ground this evening, lining up against former United star Cristiano Ronaldo. The Italian giants were 1-0 winners at Old Trafford a fortnight ago.

The two lineups for this evening’s game are as confirmed:

Manchester United

David de Gea; Ashley Young, Chris Smalling, Victor Lindelof, Luke Shaw; Nemanja Matic, Ander Herrera, Paul Pogba; Jesse Lingard, Alexis Sanchez, Anthony Martial

Substitutes: Sergio Romero, Eric Bailly, Matteo Darmian, Fred, Marouane Fellaini, Juan Mata, Marcus Rashford

Jose Mourinho makes two changes to the side that beat Bournemouth on Saturday with Ander Herrera and Jesse Lingard coming into the starting lineup, replacing Fred and Juan Mata. Herrera may have been brought into the starting lineup to do a man to man marking job on Paulo Dybala.

Ashley Young captain’s the side from right-back whilst Antonio Valencia does not make the bench despite making the trip to northern Italy after recovering from an injury this week. Chris Smalling and Victor Lindelof continue to be the centre-back partnership, with Eric Bailly on the bench.

With Romelu Lukaku out injured, Alexis Sanchez is the striker, flanked by Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard. Don’t be surprised to see the Chilean hang out on the left at times with Martial drifting inside.

Substitutes: Mattia Perin, Medhi Benatia, Andrea Barzagli, Joao Cancelo, Daniele Rugani, Blaise Matuidi, Mario Mandzukic

The home side go with a back four and three in midfield. Juan Cuadrado offers pace down thee right wing whilst Cristiano Ronaldo could drift out to the left to cause Ashley Young problems.

Juventus head coach Massimiliano Allegri has named four defenders among the Juventus substitutes.
