Manchester United host Southampton at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Saturday.
The Saints begin the weekend just two points above the relegation zone, directly above Cardiff City who are in the bottom three. Their 2-0 win at home to Fulham on Wednesday ended a run of four Premier League games without a win.
Meanwhile, we could move into the top four with a win should Arsenal fail to beat Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby in Saturday’s lunchtime kickoff. We start the weekend one point behind the Gunners and five behind their rivals.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a large casualty list to deal with this weekend whilst the visitors have three of their own.
Former-Liverpool player Danny Ings missed their victory midweek making it three games in a row the striker has missed with a hamstring injury. Ings will not return in time to face us so either of both Shane Long and Charlie Austin could continue up front.
Teenage striker Michael Obafemi may be ruled out for the rest of the season with a hamstring injury himself. He featured in the Saints’ loss at Arsenal last weekend.
The final confirmed absentee for Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side is midfielder Mario Lemina. The Gabon international has been sidelined with an abdominal injury since the turn of the year.
