Confirmed: 2 absent for Man Utd against Chelsea + Herrera update

Manchester United are set to host Chelsea on Sunday in a crucial match in the battle for Champions League football next season.

With three games to go we are three points behind the Blues in our race to finish in the top four so a win is required at Old Trafford this weekend.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been speaking to the media at today’s pre-match press conference and has given a team update and injury update.

The boss was able to confirm that Ander Herrera could make his return to the starting lineup this weekend. The Spaniard has missed all six of our games so far this month with a hamstring injury. Ole told MUTV:

“[There are] three games left of the season and Ander has been training, he’s been enthusiastic.

“He’ll probably be involved. I think he’s fit enough to be involved on Sunday. I can’t guarantee it, because there’s still two days left, but he’s trained the last two days.”

Given that Fred has featured a lot recently, Ander Herrera’s return would be a huge boost for us this weekend. The Spaniard even scored against Chelsea in our 2-0 win the FA Cup fifth round back in February.

With Herrera potentially available to the Norwegian, we only have two confirmed absentees for Sunday’s game. These being Eric Bailly and Antoni
