Casemiro produces stellar performance in Man Utd’s win at Bournemouth

Manchester United midfielder Casemiro produced a stellar performance during the 1-0 Premier League win at Bournemouth this afternoon.

The Red Devils started off brilliantly against the Cherries at the Vitality Stadium. They opened the scoring after just nine minutes on the clock.

Christian Eriksen’s lofted ball into the box was flicked into Casemiro’s path by defender Marcos Senesi.

The Brazilian took full advantage with an outstanding scissor kick beyond the grasp of goalkeeper Neto.

That proved to be the winning goal in the end but United had to work hard for the victory.

David de Gea made key saves between the sticks but Casemiro was clearly the best performer.

Aside from his goal, Casemiro had 93 touches, completing 59 out of his 74 passes.

He managed an impressive eight long balls while winning nine duels and five tackles.

The former Real Madrid man also made two clearances, two interceptions and made three key passes.

In our opinion, it was one of the best performances from Casemiro in the United shirt.

The 31-year-old has been a revelation in his debut season at United with 13 goal contributions.

Casemiro is a defensive midfielder by trade but he has excelled with his late runs into the box.

The Brazilian has definitely exceeded expectations with a high of consistency this term.

United’s win in the South Coast has put them on the cusp of Champions League qualification.

They need just one point from the remaining two games against Chelsea and Fulham.

The club could secure a top-four berth when they host the former at Old Trafford on Thursday.
