Casemiro inspires Man Utd to resounding win vs Chelsea at Old Trafford

Manchester United midfielder Casemiro was outstanding on Thursday night as the club secured a convincing 4-1 Premier League win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

The Brazilian scored the winner against Bournemouth last weekend with a fantastic scissor kick. He carried over the good form by scoring the opening goal in the sixth minute yesterday.

Casemiro perfectly timed his header from a Christian Eriksen free-kick into the back of the net.

Shortly before the interval, the 31-year-old produced another brilliant piece of skill which contributed to Jadon Sancho’s assist for Anthony Martial’s ninth goal of the campaign.

He delivered a sublime no-look pass for Sancho who put the ball on the plate for Martial to score.

United went on to win the game by a convincing 4-1 scoreline and in our view, Casemiro was the clear man of the match with another splendid all-round performance.

Aside from his goal contributions, the Brazilian won seven duels and five tackles. The Brazilian had 64 touches with 39 accurate passes and two long balls for his teammates.

Casemiro looked out of sorts earlier last month following his second red card but he has picked up form at the right time to ensure that United are back in the Champions League.

The Red Devils have jumped to third after the victory over the Blues. There is still much to play for on Sunday. United can finish ahead of Newcastle United by matching their result.

Meanwhile, United fans can look forward to a bright summer ahead. With Champions League qualification, the club have an added revenue boost to purchase world-class stars.
