Brentford attacker Bryan Mbeumo has now completed his move to Manchester United and has been spotted at Carrington after completing his medical.
The Cameroon international will be joining the Red Devils for an initial £65 million, with £6m to come in add-ons, and he has signed a five-year deal, with the option of an additional 12 months, according to Ben Jacobs.
An official statement from Man United confirming his arrival is expected any moment from now, and Mbeumo will be joining the squad when they leave for the pre-season tour of the United States.
It is a huge move for the Old Trafford club having spent several weeks trying to get the deal over the line, and head coach Ruben Amorim will be pleased to have bolstered his attack with another top player.
Man United signed Brazilian attacker Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers last month and he has since been given the number 10 jersey as Marcus Rashford closes in on an exit having agreed to join Barcelona on loan.
The Brentford star will reportedly be wearing the number 19 jersey at the Theatre of Dreams – the same shirt he wore for the Bees – and he will be desperate to hit the ground running when the new season kicks off.
Having both Mbeumo and Cunha in their line-up is a massive boost for the Red Devils, and a number 9 could also be joining them as they are reportedly looking to beat Arsenal to the services of Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres.
The trio scored 74 league goals between them last season, and having them at Man United will be a dream come true for Amorim.
The Red Devils are not playing in Europe next season after an underwhelming 2024-25 campaign, and the unavailability of continental engagement could help them perform better in the domestic competitions, with their Portuguese boss eager to prove himself in his first full season in charge.
