Bruno Fernandes wins Manchester United Players’ Player of the Year award again

Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes has bagged another major award for the 2025-26 season.

Man United have confirmed that Fernandes has won the Players’ Player of the Year award for the second straight season.

The 31-year-old recently won the Football Writers’ Association (FWA) Footballer of the Year.

The Portuguese midfielder has produced outstanding numbers in the Premier League this season, scoring eight goals while also registering 19 assists.

Only Erling Haaland has contributed to more league goals than Fernandes during the current campaign.

The attacking midfielder has now become just the fourth United player in history to win the Players’ Player of the Year award on multiple occasions, joining an elite group featuring Cristiano Ronaldo, Antonio Valencia and Luke Shaw.

Legendary goalkeeper David de Gea still holds the record after winning the accolade an incredible four times across his Old Trafford career.

With two games remaining in the season, Fernandes will be motivated to bag another assist and match the record for the most assists in a single Premier League campaign.

Fernandes is also widely expected to win the prestigious Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award once again.

If that happens, the United captain would become the first player in the club’s history to win the famous individual honour five times.

At present, Fernandes is level on four Sir Matt Busby awards alongside club icons Ronaldo and De Gea.

The Portuguese magnifico is also one of the contenders for the PFA Player of the Year award but faces a tough competition from Haaland, Declan Rice and David Raya.
