Brighton 0-3 Man United: Player Ratings – Perfect 10 for Fernandes, Dorgu shines again

Manchester United produced a dominant display to defeat Brighton & Hove Albion 3-0 at the Amex Stadium in the final Premier League game of the season.

United manager Michael Carrick made three changes to his side that won against Nottingham Forest last weekend

The scorching conditions made it a physically exhausting afternoon for both teams on the south coast.

Patrick Dorgu, who came in the starting XI for Matheus Cunha, broke the deadlock but the goal was all about Bruno Fernandes.

The Portuguese maestro delivered a sensational pinpoint cross into the box to register his historic 21st assist of the campaign and become the player with the most assists in a single Premier League season.

Brilliant quick passing inside the penalty area then allowed Amad Diallo to set up Bryan Mbeumo for a simple tap-in finish.

A superb strike from Fernandes ensured United ended the season with 71 points.

The heartbeat of United’s midfield.

Operated in a much deeper role and excelled as the controller with his composure and intelligence on the ball.

Started the move for the fabulous Bryan Mbeumo goals at the cusp of the break.

It was a composed display in the number eight role and showed why he could become a hugely valuable player for United next season.

Bruno Fernandes – 10/10

With the game lacking quality, Fernandes delivered a perfect cross to earn his 21st assist and officially script his name in the history books.

He made it 3-0 with a drilling finish to beat the goalkeeper.

Amad Diallo – 8/10

Put a goal on a plate for Mbeumo after a clever pass from Mount. He then played a crucial role in United’s third goal with his sharp attacking movement.

Patrick Dorgu – 9/10

His header was way too powerful for goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen. Worked tirelessly throughout the game and repaid Bruno Fernandes with an assist after the break.
