Brian Brobbey makes Man Utd transfer revelation, hints at future move

Ajax striker Brian Brobbey has described Manchester United as his dream club, but he does not see himself leaving Amsterdam in the near future.

Brobbey rejoined Ajax on loan from RB Leipzig in January this year, and had a productive spell with seven goals and one assist from 11 Eredivisie games under Erik ten Hag.

Ten Hag was eager to reunite with the 20-year-old at Old Trafford this summer, but Brobbey was quite clear that he wanted to return to Ajax permanently.

Speaking to ESPN.nl via Voetbal Primeur, Brobbey has now revealed that United are his dream club and Ten Hag would like to have him with the Red Devils.

However, he assured that he has unfinished business at Ajax and would like to make a big impression at the Dutch outfit before considering a new challenge.

He said: “Dream club? Manchester United. Erik sent me a message, yes, to congratulate me, and to tell me that he would like to have me at Manchester United.”

“But I’m not finished at Ajax yet, I want to show something here first.”

United could make future approach for Brobbey

United were heavily linked with the Netherlands star early on in the summer transfer window, but the Dutchman made the decision to rejoin the Eredivisie champions.

He has already impressed this season with two goals and two assists from six outings. The Red Devils could have an eye on him for the future due to Ten Hag’s presence.

Brobbey has excelled with his strong hold-up play and aerial ability. He also has the physical attributes that would suit the demands of the Premier League.

The striker also has good pace on the counter-attack. His only drawback is probably his inexperience. He now has the chance to play a full season with Ajax.
