Borussia Dortmund mulling over move for Man United outcast Jadon Sancho

Borussia Dortmund are considering a move for Manchester United outcast Jadon Sancho.

Juventus are also interested in the forward and have reportedly agreed on personal terms with him. He will earn around £5.25 million if he joins the Italian giants.

However, they have yet to agree on a fee with United for the signature of the England international.

The Old Lady may now have to accelerate their negotiation for Sancho due to Dortmund’s link with him.

Journalist Ben Jacobs reports that ‘Dortmund are currently debating whether to make an approach’ for the winger.

Jacobs claims United have also reduced the English forward’s valuation from £25m to £17m.

The Mancunian giants reportedly need at least £14.58m from his sale to avoid a loss on him under the Profit and Sustainability Rules(PSR), making the new price tag a good one for the club.

Dortmund recently sold Jamie Gittens to Chelsea and are looking for a natural left winger – a role Sancho can play proficiently.

After establishing himself as one of Europe’s most exciting young attackers, Dortmund sold the former Manchester City youth prospect to United in 2021.

He scored 50 goals and provided 64 assists in 137 appearances for them.

He returned to Dortmund on loan for the second half of the 2023/24 season, having struggled at United.

Sancho helped the German club reach the Champions League final, where they lost to Real Madrid.

If the Bundesliga giants step up their interest in the London-born forward, he could face a dilemma between returning to the club or joining Juventus.

Sancho has done well in his two stints at Dortmund, and it would be easier for him to reignite his career at the club than at Juventus.
