Borussia Dortmund interested in signing Man Utd winger Jadon Sancho

Manchester United are poised to offload multiple players during the summer transfer window.

The Red Devils had a disappointing Premier League campaign. They finished 15th with just 42 points.

The hierarchy are prepared to back the manager with several signings, but it could coincide with exits.

According to Sky Sports, Jadon Sancho is one of those expected to leave.

The England international recently returned to the Red Devils after Chelsea opted not to buy him.

Borussia Dortmund are now eyeing another reunion with Sancho.

The German giants consider Sancho as a potential replacement for Jamie Gittens. Chelsea are in discussions to sign the latter.

United would ideally prefer a permanent transfer for the winger, but given his hefty wages, another loan deal can not be ruled out.

Sancho most likely to leave on season-long loan

Chelsea signed Sancho last summer on loan with an obligation to buy for £25 million if they finished higher than 15th in the league.

The clause became valid earlier this year, but the Blues managed to nullify the transfer by activating a £5m penalty clause that had been agreed upon.

United are now eyeing potential suitors. It has already been reported that they could accept less than £20m for the 25-year-old attacker.

However, a permanent deal could be difficult to negotiate. Dortmund are keen on signing Sancho for a third occasion, but they may not be able to afford his wages.

Niklas Sule is their highest earner at £162,000 per week, followed by Serhou Guirassy at £153,000 weekly.

Sancho presently earns a basic salary of £250,000 per week. Unless he is prepared to accept a big pay cut, a permanent move looks unlikely on the cards.

A loan deal seems the likely option for the third season running, as Sancho does not want to reduce his salary. Chelsea turned him down for this reason.

In that way, United could receive a small loan fee, with Dortmund covering the majority of his wages.
