‘Best Young Player’ at Manchester United travels to Germany as part of squad to face Sevilla

Manchester United youngster Ethan Galbraith has been labelled the “best young player” at the club after earning promotion to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first-team squad.

Galbraith is already a senior Northern Ireland international having won his first cap in a friendly last September and is being tipped for big things at Old Trafford.

The teenager is one of several academy graduates to have got the nod to travel to Cologne for the Europa League finals.

Alongside Teden Mengi and Ethan Laird, he is one of the least experienced players in the squad with the likes of Mason Greenwood and Brandon Williams already establishing themselves in the first-team this season.

Reports from the Manchester Evening News claim that, beyond those already established in the first-team, Galbraith is considered by some to be United’s top youngster.

The youngster has been included in the squad to face Sevilla based on merit after impressing Solksjaer and the first team coaches in training this season.

Talking about Galbraith last season, youth team boss Wood said: “Ethan has been improving and improving since he came over at 16. We could see the talent he had then and he has come on.

“He just has to keep working hard and put into practice what he is learning in training. He has a great mentality to training and his football.

“He is on the right path, we just have to keep pushing him.”

It looks like Manchester United have unearthed a special talent in their ranks and only time will tell us about the potential this player has got.
