According to the recent reports, Bayern Munich have found an agreement to sign Manchester United’s one of the most sought-after summer transfer targets in Douglas Costa on a season-long loan deal from Juventus.
Costa joined Bayern Munich in 2015 from Shakhtar Donetsk. However, after glittering spell with the German giants, he was sent out on loan to Juventus.
Bayern Munich went on to make the deal permanent in 2018, with the Bavarians pocketing £35.2m transfer fee from the transfer.
As per serval reports, Manchester United were interested in obtaining his services earlier in this summer transfer window.
However, he was not the only one targetted by the Red Devils, as the name of Jadon Sancho is still believed to be at the top of the list.
As confirmed by reputed transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Bayern Munich wouldn’t have gone for Douglas Costa if they hadn’t endured the pain of rejection by Chelsea for their youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi.
Bayern Munich had been a huge admirer of the Englishman and were keenly adamant to acquire his signature during the latter stage of the summer transfer window.
Costa was seemingly an out-of-favor option under the supervision of Juventus’ newly-hired manager Andrea Pirlo.
Manchester United are reportedly pushing hard to sign a winger on the deadline day of the current summer transfer window.
