Barcelona may reportedly be willing to consider offers for Mikayil Faye amid interest from Manchester United.
The 19-year-old is yet to make his senior debut but has been earning rave reviews with his performances for Barcelona Atletic.
He has netted four goals in 25 appearances in the Spanish third tier, scoring most recently against Osasuna B on Sunday.
His excellent performances led to a call-up to the Senegal national team and he netted on his debut in the friendly against Gabon last month.
Manchester United are among the clubs monitoring Faye ahead of a potential summer transfer.
Barcelona may consider offers for the 19-year-old due to the club’s delicate financial situation, per Mundo Deportivo.
However, a deal for the Senegal international is expected to cost them a hefty sum as the Catalans reportedly turned down £13 million offers from Nice and Lens in January.
Man United’s recruitment has come under heavy criticism from supporters who believe the club overpaid for ageing players with no resale value.
A move for Faye would be a less risky approach. The 19-year-old has plenty of potential and could develop into a world-class player at United.
