Ayden Heaven sends message to Ruben Amorim with impressive Man Utd display vs Wolves

Manchester United returned to winning ways in the Premier League with a 4-1 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Molineux Stadium.

The Red Devils were frontrunners to beat the Midlands outfit on the road and managed to do so in convincing fashion after a good second-half display.

Mason Mount was handed the man of the match by the broadcasters, while Bruno Fernandes was likewise impressive from the heart of the midfield for United.

Alongside the duo, there were several other standout performers. Ayden Heaven particularly caught our eye after an admirable defensive showing in the West Midlands.

The centre-back had a nervy 45-minute appearance against West Ham United last week. He earned himself an early yellow card and was replaced by Leny Yoro at the break.

Despite this, manager Ruben Amorim started the 19-year-old in the middle of the back three against Wolves.

Barring one moment of miscommunication with goalkeeper Senne Lammens, Heaven had a solid outing and was praised by the manager after the 4-1 victory.

Amorim said that Heaven did a ‘very good job‘ and he is ‘really hard’ to beat. The Portuguese tactician was particularly pleased with his ball-playing ability.

Heaven’s inclusion in the XI over Yoro was questioned by multiple United fans, but the teenager sent a good message to the faithful and manager with a fine display.

He completed 100 percent of his passes (36/36) and won 100 percent of his duels (6/6). The centre-back made seven clearances alongside three recoveries on the night.

Heaven had 49 touches in the game before he was replaced by Leny Yoro in the 69th minute.

With Matthijs de Ligt and Harry Maguire still on the sidelines, the youngster could keep his starting spot when the Red Devils take on Bournemouth at home next Monday.
