Atalanta could sell Giorgio Scalvini to Manchester United due to their excellent relations with the club, according to Tutto Atalanta.
The Italian is one of the best young centre-backs in world football and he is currently a mainstay in the starting line-up at the Serie A outfit.
His progress has caught the eye of AC Milan, Inter Milan and Juventus, but Tutto Atalanta claim that a deal is complicated due to United’s interest.
The Red Devils are in a commanding position to sign the 19-year-old wonderkid with their strong working relationship with the Bergamo outfit.
Atalanta have already sold the likes of Amad Diallo and Rasmus Hojlund to United and are willing to allow Scalvini to move to Old Trafford for €50 million.
Atalanta eyeing the best price for Scalvini
Scalvini made his breakthrough with Atalanta last term and he has since gone from strength to strength. He is also a regular with the Italian national side.
This season, the teenager has a passing accuracy of 85 per cent in the Italian top-flight, but he has been hugely impressive with his defensive contributions.
He has averaged 2.2 tackles, 2.1 clearances and 6.3 recoveries per game. Scalvini has won 5.9 ground and aerial duels per outing with a success rate of 66 per cent.
The youngster has the credentials to succeed in the Premier League, and we won’t be surprised if United splash the cash to sign him in January or next summer.
Atalanta have already done business with United. The Red Devils have the advantage from the fact that they are better equipped financially than Inter, Milan or Juventus.
