Daley, capped seven times by England in the early 90s, is convinced long-time United target Grealish is now primed to deliver on the international stage.
Daley, a leading professional fitness coach said:
“I agree Jack now warrants a place in the England squad. He gave consistently good performances last season”.
“When he was in the Championship, there were doubts if he could do it in the Premier League. Fair enough. But he’s now proved he can”.
The former player added: “If Jack goes, he’ll have everyone’s blessing here at Villa because of what he’s just done for the club”.
“But if he’s been picked for England already, he might think he’s better off staying with Villa, where he’s settled and plays every week”.
“The Euros are coming up next summer – and Jack needs to be playing to stay in Southgate’s plans.”
Daley believes that Jack Grealish’s move to Manchester United hinges on his selection in Gareth Southgate’s squad for the Nations League trips to Iceland and Denmark.
Jack Grealish is United’s one of prime targets for this summer, with the club also looking at a swap deal to sign the Villa captain.
Grealish is one of the prime reasons for Villa’s survival this season and they won’t let him go below £80m.
