Arsenal show interest in £80m Man Utd target

Grealish

Manchester United qualified for Champions League football with a 2-0 win away to Leicester City on Sunday.

This should help Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and co in the transfer market this summer, both as an attraction and financially.

One player we have been linked to for a longtime is Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish.

The 24-year-old scored during Villa’s 1-1 draw at West Ham United on Sunday which proved to be the goal that kept the West Midlands club in the Premier League.

Grealish can be expected to leave Villa Park this summer, but the 1982 European Cup winners aren’t going down without a fight.

It is being reported that they will demand as much as £80 million for the central midfielder this summer. A hefty price but one that could be worth paying given his talent and work rate.

However, not only will Manchester United be battling with his club for the player, reports are now suggesting that Arsenal have thrown their name in the hat of interested parties.

That’s according to Sky Sports, who say that the Gunners are yet to make an official enquiry as of yet.

The North London club could be affected by the price Aston Villa are demanding though as they failed to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

I am feeling confident that Jack Grealish will be a Manchester United player before the start of next season. But right now we just have to wait and see what will happen over the coming weeks…
