United could end Arsenal’s Champions League hopes

United look cracking value at 3.3 with bet365 and Betfred to beat Arsenal at the Emirates.

Sir Alex’s side, who clinched their 20th league title earlier in the week with four games to go by beating Aston Villa 3-0, have a good record against the Gunners.

They have won six and lost one of the last seven Premier League meetings with Arsene Wenger’s men, and the home side have also managed to keep just four clean sheets in the last 16 league games on their own patch.

Throw in the fact that Arsenal have taken only four points from seven games against the other sides in the top five this season (every other member has at least 10) and you can see why the Red Devils look overpriced to win this.

It seems that the bookmakers have priced up the game believing that they will take their foot off the pedal now that they have the title in the bag.

However I don’t think that will be the case as Sir Alex has made it clear that he wants to win the four remaining games to register a record points total of 96, and it would be a brave man to bet against him achieving his goal.

This game will also be the first time that Robin van Persie has returned to the Emirates, and Monday’s hat-trick hero heads the first goalscorer betting at 6.5 with bet365.

That looks more than fair, as does the 2.5 on offer – also with bet365 – about him scoring anytime given his current form.

However those wanting to steer away from the obvious could do far worse than siding with Wayne Rooney at a standout 8.5 with bet365 to net the opener and 3.1 with the same firm to get on the scoresheet during the 90 minutes.

Over 2,5 goals also looks a solid bet at 1.73 with bet365, and in the correct score market I like the look of a 3-1 win for United.

That outcome is priced up a very tasty looking 19 with Betfred.
