A selection of Manchester United fans were delighted with the performance of Odion Ighalo during the club’s comfortable win over Linzer ASK in the first leg of the Europa League round of 16.
The Nigeria international went into the game with three goals from his previous two starts for United and he managed to carry on the good form with a goal and an assist in a comfortable 5-0 triumph.
Ighalo showed impressive control of the ball before opening the scoring with a left-footed strike in the 28th minute. Prior to the hour mark, he contributed the assist for Daniel James, who scored his first goal in 32 games.
As a result, the 30-year-old was adjudged as the man of the match by the club’s supporters and some of them took to Twitter to appreciate his impressive performance on the night.
Another assist for Fernandes. Another goal for Ighalo. And what a goal it was.

My thoughts on tonight’s win:
– Not the same without fans
– Fred, McTominay & Bruno 10/10
– Ighalo can’t stop scoring
– Williams works good at RB
– Another clean sheet for Romero
– Happy for James to finally score
– Maguire and Bailly untroubled
– 11 games unbeaten— Aidan Walsh ? (@AidanWalshMUFC) March 12, 2020
That was superb from Jude Ighalo????????

Ighalo has achieved cult hero status. Already scored more goals for Man Utd than Henrik Larsson! [3]. #muzone

Ighalo has offered something different from the existing forward options at United and he has acted as the focus point of the attack on occasions with his strength and good hold-up play.
He has yet to make a similar impression in the Premier League for the club but it still appears a no-brainer to hand him a permanent contract beyond the current campaign.
Ighalo may not feature on a regular basis in the top-flight but he remains a useful option to call upon from the bench, particularly if United require a physical striker, who can unsettle opposition defenders in the box.
