Manchester United could be just days away from confirming their first major signing of the summer transfer window.

Italian legend Andrea Pirlo believes Ederson possesses every attribute needed to become a huge success in the Premier League.

The legendary Italian won six Serie A titles, two UEFA Champions League trophies, numerous domestic honours and famously guided Italy to FIFA World Cup glory in 2006.
When a player of Pirlo’s stature speaks so highly of a midfielder, his opinion naturally carries enormous weight.
With Brazil now eliminated from the ongoing World Cup, United could fast-track the signing of Ederson.
Although the 26-year-old may not possess global superstar status, he could prove to be a highly valuable player.
United entered the summer knowing they needed at least two new midfielders to transform the squad.

As Pirlo highlighted, Ederson is an intense runner. He is powerful and could provide the off-the-ball tenacity that has been missing since Casemiro’s decline.
