Altay Bayindir was the only Manchester United player to create a big chance against Fulham as damning stats emerge

Manchester United are still in search of their first Premier League win of 2025-26 after Fulham held them to a 1-1 draw at Craven Cottage on Sunday evening.

A deflected Leny Yoro’s effort off Rodrigo Muniz put the Red Devils ahead in the 58th minute after Bruno Fernandes missed a chance to open the scoring from the spot in the first-half.

However, Man United saw their lead last for only 15 minutes as Fulham drew level through Emile Smith Rowe.

The draw would have left Red Devils head coach Ruben Amorim disappointed, and he tried to ensure his side got a winner by bringing in England international defender Harry Maguire in the closing stages of the game.

The Netherlands international striker Joshua Zirkzee remained on the bench, while the attacking trio of Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko were unable to influence the proceedings.

Surprisingly, Man United goalkeeper Altay Bayindir was the only one to create a big chance for the visitors all game, which should leave Amorim worried.

The Turkey international played a long ball to Cunha, but the Brazilian was unable to score as Fulham goalie Bernd Leno produced a huge save to deny the Man United attacker.

The Red Devils are back in action next Saturday when they host Burnley, and they will be desperate to pick up all three points against the newly-promoted side.

Today is the first time Man United have failed to beat Fulham at Craven Cottage in 15 years, and Amorim has to start delivering the goods after getting the needed support so far.

The Portuguese has managed more Premier League games (29) for the Red Devils than points (28) won since taking over.

He wants to sign a defensive midfielder before the end of the summer transfer window, and Brighton & Hove Albion star Carlos Baleba remains the top target.

However, the Cameroon international is unlikely to leave the Seagulls this summer and Amorim has to look elsewhere if he is desperate to bring in someone in the position.
