Manchester United have received a promising sign in their pursuit of a top Premier League midfielder.

Arsenal are also heavily interested in signing the young Englishman.
Bournemouth are expected to point to the enormous fees paid for Anderson and Fernandes when determining Scott’s valuation, with a figure close to £80 million likely to be demanded.
Even at that price, United could still view the deal as worthwhile if performance-related add-ons form part of the package.
