Alejandro Garnacho wins Man Utd Player of the Month award for December

Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho has won the club’s Player of the Month award for December after standing out with his performances.

The Argentine won United’s November Player of the Month award after his stunning overhead kick to open the scoring against Everton at Goodison Park.

He was also named the Premier League Player of the Month as a result. The club graduate has now been rewarded with another personal accolade by the club.

Garnacho registered two goals and two assists last month. This included a match-winning brace in the sensational 3-2 comeback win over Aston Villa from two goals down.

There are no surprises that he has been voted as the club’s best player for the second month running.

The 19-year-old secured a whopping 64 per cent of the votes from the club’s faithful. He received the award ahead of Jonny Evans and Kobbie Mainoo.

Garnacho continues to shine in difficult season

United have had a difficult season with 14 defeats across all competitions. Their attack has yet to find cohesion, but Garnacho has impressed individually.

The €34 million-rated ace started the campaign as a regular in the line-up, but lost his place in the next few months.

He has since reclaimed a regular role under manager Erik ten Hag. Garnacho started ahead of Marcus Rashford on the left wing, but they have recently played together.

Rashford and Garnacho combined impressively in the stellar comeback win over Villa. The latter excelled from the right wing which could become his permanent position.
