Agent plays down Chicharito’s exit rumours

Zemanta Related Posts ThumbnailJavier Hernandez’s agent has dismissed rumours that wanted the Mexican striker linked with a move to Inter Milan in the summer, claiming that he has not been approached by any club and that Chicharito is likely to remain at Old Trafford for the foreseeable future.

Hernandez has been on the fringe of David Moyes’ squad this season, yet he’s still managed to find the net 10 times in 17 appearances in all competitions even though he’s only started only four Premier League games during Moyes’ inaugural campaign at Old Trafford.

Hernandez’s limited involvement in the Premier League had prompted Mexico manager Miguel Herrera to claim that Chicharito was unhappy with life at Old Trafford and frustrated with a lack of first-team football, before adding that he should have considered his options this summer.

Inter Milan have been linked to Hernandez for a while, with the Italian outfit reportedly ready to offer 19-year-old midfielder Mateo Kovacic as part of the deal to bring the Mexican to the San Siro, but Hernandez’s agent, Eduardo Hernandez, has dismissed the rumours.

“I think these are just rumours. I have no news of Inter and Manchester United have not let me know anything about a possible offer,” he’s quoted saying on Sky Sports.

“The same goes for the other teams that have been linked to my client, to date there is nothing concrete.”

“Currently, we are not able to say it because we should talk with United, the club with whom Javier still has several years of the contract,” he said about a possible summer move away from Old Trafford.

“At the moment we have not planned any meetings with the Red Devils.”
