A section of the Manchester United supporters have expressed their satisfaction over the fact that Romelu Lukaku could remain with the club beyond the summer. The Belgium international has been heavily linked with a move to Inter Milan, but it appears that the deal may not materialise with the Nerazzurri far off from meeting the Red Devils’ demands.
According to BBC Sport, the 26-year-old appears increasingly likely to remain with United, considering they have been no formal bids to secure his signature. It is added that the Nerazzurri have been the front-runners to land the former Everton ace, but they are unlikely to pay more than £75m, considering they are being monitored by UEFA for the Financial Fair Play.
In response to this story, a number of United fans have given the green light for Lukaku to return to the starting lineup and potentially reclaim the centre-forward role from Marcus Rashford. Here are some of the reactions on Twitter…

Lukaku had a mixed second season with the Red Devils last term and he contributed just 15 goals across all competitions. Moreover, he had gone through different stages where he experienced a lengthy goal drought and that witnessed Rashford getting a regular chance to lead the line towards the end of the campaign.
Despite this, he has managed a more than decent return of 42 goals from 96 appearances for the club and a report from The Sun has recently indicated that manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants the striker to remain at Old Trafford for the forthcoming season to prove his worth.
