Manchester United travel to Leicester City on Sunday off the back of a 2-2 draw at home to Burnley on Tuesday night.
The point against the Clarets was the first time we’ve dropped points under caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ahead of his 10th match in charge at the King Power Stadium this weekend.
Leicester City start the weekend in 11th place but held Liverpool to a 1-1 draw at Anfield on Wednesday night.
Here is the team I think Claude Puel will send out against us for the Foxes:
Goalkeeper: Kasper Schmeichel
Peter’s son remains one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League but has kept just one clean sheet in his last six games, which includes conceding to Cardiff City, Southampton and four at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Defence: Ricardo Pereira, Wes Morgan, Harry Maguire, Ben Chilwell
Leicester City are certainly vulnerable down their right-hand side so whether Anthony Martial or Alexis Sanchez start as our left forward they should be expecting a big game. Ricardo Pereira is a poor defender but good going forward – it was the Portuguese’s effort that came off the post to set up Leicester’s consolation in our 2-1 win to start the season. Wes Morgan is slow and vulnerable to errors. We were linked to Harry Maguire over the summer who continues to perform well for the East Midlands clubs whilst Ben Chilwell is proving to be one of the best left-backs in the Premier League.
Midfield: Marc Albrighton, Hamza Choudhury, Nampalys Mendy, Wilfried Ndidi, James Maddison
Youngster Hamza Choudhury has impressed during his battling efforts when given a chance lately and could expect to start this one given that we’re expected to be in charge of the possession. Wildfried Ndidi must be the first name on the sheet for Puel’s midfield whilst Nampalys Mendy could face competition from deadline day signing Youri Tielemans to start this one. James Maddison has been very impressive going forward for Leicester this season but the former-Norwich City man has been quiet in recent weeks. Goes down easily. Marc Albrighton could get the nod ahead of Demarai Gray to face us because he works harder off the ball.
Striker: Jamie Vardy
Jamie Vardy will be the nuisance up front for Leicester City on Sunday. The former England international makes excellent runs off the ball that our centre-backs will need to be careful of. The 32-year-old has seven goals in 20 Premier League appearances so far this seasons but has an excellent record versus the top six.
Here’s how Leicester look on paper:
