4-3-1-2: Man Utd predicted XI to face Wolves

Manchester United travel to Wolverhampton Wanderers this evening as we go in hunt for another three points to aid our top four hunt.

Victory over Watford on Saturday saw us draw level on points with Tottenham Hotspur, but along with Arsenal and Chelsea, the four of us are competing for the final two Champions League spots.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are flying high in seventh place following their promotion from the Championship last season but were beaten 2-0 at Burnley on Saturday. Here is the team I think Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will name to face the West Midlands club:

Goalkeeper: David de Gea
Will have been disappointed not to have kept a clean sheet at the weekend as we conceded a late goal. David de Gea can expect another busy game on Tuesday as Wolves have a potent attack.

Defence: Ashley Young, Chris Smalling, Victor Lindelof, Luke Shaw
Ole confirmed on Monday that Victor Lindelof has been back in training over the past few days and will be ready for this evening’s game. The Swede can expect to return to the starting lineup alongside Chris Smalling in the middle of our back four. Luke Shaw will continue at left-back. Given his age, Ashley Young could be replaced by Diogo Dalot but as we’re not in action next weekend I think his place will be fine.

Midfield: Nemanja Matic, Ander Herrera, Paul Pogba; Jesse Lingard
Ander Herrera has agreed to join Paris Saint-Germain when his contract expires in the summer. The Spaniard will be a big loss as he’s been one of star players in the resurgence under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. I don’t see his position being under threat midweek as this is the boss’ preferred central midfield trio. Paul Pogba needs to put in a much better performance than what he showed against Watford last time out though. Jesse Lingard should retain his role as the number 10 though Juan Mata could give him a run for his money.

Attack: Romelu Lukaku, Marcus Rashford
Romelu Lukaku was among the substitutes over the weekend and should be fit to start this one. The Belgian would replace Anthony Martial who faced the Hornets on Saturday. We have won the last nine Premier League games in which Marcus Rashford has scored so you can be sure the England international is in the starting lineup at Molineux.

Here is our team on paper:
