3 Man Utd players expected to start for England vs Panama

England take on Panama at the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium on Sunday in their second game of the 2018 World Cup.

Three points for Gareth Southgate’s side matched by Tunisia failing to beat Belgium on Saturday would ensure a place in the second round, four years after being eliminated from the World Cup after two games.

The Three Lions were late 2-1 winners over Tunisia in their opening match in Russia on Monday with Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane scoring both goals.

Manchester United duo Ashley Young and Jesse Lingard starting for England at the start of the week, whilst Marcus Rashford replaced Raheem Sterling midway through the second half.

In light of Dele Alli’s injury and Sterling’s dire performance for the national team, it looks as though the England manager is going to make two changes for their second game.

The Telegraph believe they have seen a leak of the starting lineup from coach Steve Holland’s notebook.  They show that Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who spent last season on loan at Crystal Palace, replacing the injured Alli, and Marcus Rashford coming in for Sterling.

Ashley Young and Jesse Lingard keep their places in the starting lineup to make it a trio of United players who could face the Central American nation on Sunday.
