3-5-2: Wolves predicted XI to face Man Utd

Wolverhampton Wanderers travel to Old Trafford to face Manchester United in the Premier League this evening.

Victory would move us into third place as neither Arsenal nor Tottenham Hotspur are in action this evening.

The West Midlands club could rest a number of first-team players as they are in FA Cup semi-final action on Sunday.

Here is the Wolves team I think will face us:

Goalkeeper: Rui Patricio
The Portuguese goalkeeper should maintain his place in the starting lineup, though John Ruddy recently started the victory over Cardiff City.

Defence: Ryan Bennett, Connor Coady, Wilfried Boly
Ryan Bennett is available again after suspension so I think he’ll return to the starting lineup to get him up and running again before their trip to Wembley Stadium at the weekend. This is Nuno’s preferred back three.

Midfield: Matt Doherty, Leo Dendoncker, Joao Moutinho, Morgan Gibbs-White, Ruben Vinagre
Matt Doherty didn’t start in the weekend’s 2-0 loss at Burnley so I think he’ll go back into the starting lineup this evening. Left wingback Jonny could be replaced by Ruben Vinagre. Leo Dendoncker is still establishing himself in the Wolves team whilst youngster Morgan Gibbs-White could get a rare start in order for Ruben Neves to get a breather before their huge match over the weekend.

Attack: Adama Traore, Raul Jimenez
Raul Jimenez was used as a substitute at Turf Moor over the weekend so should be recalled to the starting XI this evening. The pacey Adama Traore could give Diogo Jota a rest before the FA Cup semi-final.

Here’s the Wolves team on paper:
